This web application helps convert and reconcile LIDO XML data with CSV information.
Collection managment systems occasionally do not provide sufficient support for authority files which may result in incomplete authority data coverage of the metadata.
This tool addresses this issue. It extracts selected elements from a given LIDO XML file converts them into a CSV file that can be further edited in OpenRefine.
Editing in this case means adding URIs of authority files.
The modified CSV is then uploaded together with the original LIDO. The modified and additional information is then inserted into the original LIDO.
A new, enriched LIDO file is generated and made available for download.
This tool is still in its beta phase. Be careful if you use it in production and always check the results.
